Dr. Kathryn Lemberg is an Assistant Professor of Oncology and a member of the sarcoma team at the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins.
Dr. Lemberg completed pediatrics residency training at Johns Hopkins and pediatric hematology-oncology fellowship training in the joint Johns Hopkins/National Cancer Institute program. She conducted fellowship research with Johns Hopkins Drug Discovery on targeting glutamine metabolism in preclinical sarcoma models.
She received her M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from the Medical Scientist Training Program at Columbia University in New York, where her graduate research focused on ferroptosis, a novel oxidative cell death in cancer models.
Dr. Lemberg runs a translational research lab focused on metabolism in childhood cancer. Currently her lab is focused development of new strategies to treat NF1 and RAS-active solid tumors as well as investigating the effects of targeted therapy on systemic metabolism in cancer predisposition syndromes.
