Dr. Ida De Luca is a medical oncologist specialized in the treatment of solid tumors, with a focus on sarcomas, gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST), and neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs). She earned her medical degree from the University of Magna Graecia of Catanzaro (2015) and completed her oncology specialization at the University of Palermo (2020), both with highest honors
She has developed significant clinical expertise in the management of patients with solid tumors, both from a diagnostic and therapeutic perspective. She has been involved in the care of patients affected by various malignancies, particularly in rare cancers, and has matured in-depth knowledge in the field of translational research and clinical trial conduction, serving as a Sub-Investigator in numerous national and international trials.
Over the years, she has held several clinical positions in hospitals and oncology centers across Italy, including the IRCCS National Cancer Institute of Milan, A.O.U.P. Paolo Giaccone of Palermo, IFO Regina Elena of Rome, and A.O. Annunziata of Cosenza.
She is an active member of the Italian Sarcoma Group and the Italian Association for Neuroendocrine Tumors (ITANET). She is a frequent speaker and moderator at national oncology conferences and educational events dedicated to rare tumors, NETs, and GIST.
She is author and co-author of over 25 scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals, including Cancers, The Oncologist, JAMA Network Open, and Oncoimmunology, and has contributed to multiple conference posters and oral presentations at international meetings such as ASCO, ESMO, ENETS, and AIOM.
