Newcastle University Translational and Clinical Research Institute, United Kingdom
I work within the Translational and Clinical Research Institute at Newcastle University, with research interests in the basic science of musculoskeletal oncology, fluorescence guided surgery, and metastatic bone disease. I completed my Undergraduate Medical Degree at Newcastle University, with an integrated Masters of Research Degree in Cancer Biology. I have since undertaken research fellowships at The Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging and Harvard Medical School, USA, and clinical fellowships at The Princess Máxima Center for Pediatric Oncology, Netherlands. My current research focuses on the basic science and translational application of NIR fluorescence-guided surgery for bone and soft-tissue tumour resection, and I am a co-investigator on the SarcoSIGHT clinical trial. I am currently completing my higher orthopaedic surgical training in the North of England.
