Associate Data Scientist
The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center
Dr. Noha Osman is an Associate Data Scientist at MD Anderson Cancer Center, where she specializes in sarcoma research. She combines multi-omics data with clinical insights to better understand how sarcomas develop and progress, with the goal of identifying new biomarkers and treatment targets. Her work bridges advanced computational analysis and real-world patient impact, helping move cancer research closer to truly personalized medicine.
Before joining MD Anderson, she was a Postdoctoral Associate at Baylor College of Medicine, where she led bioinformatics-driven cancer biology projects, and a Postdoctoral Fellow at Louisiana State University, focusing on systems biology and machine learning approaches to cancer research. She earned her Ph.D. in Computational Biology, developing expertise in next-generation sequencing and data analysis using the Illumina platform.
Outside of research, she’s passionate about using data to tell meaningful stories in science and enjoys mentoring young scientists in computational biology.
