Andrew Girgis is a medical student at Boston University and a research assistant at the Division of Orthopaedic Oncology at Massachusetts General Hospital with Dr. Santiago Lozano-Calderon. His work focuses on the outcomes of surgical treatment of bone and soft-tissue sarcomas, as well as metastatic bone disease. He has a special focus on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to improve diagnosis in these cancers, prognostic and treatment prediction, and identifying gaps and biases in AI training and deployment.
