Internal Medicine Resident
North Alabama Medical Center
I earned my PhD in Cancer Biology from the Sheila and David Fuente Graduate Program at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in 2019, under the mentorship of Dr. Jonathan Trent. My doctoral research focused on the role of IDH mutations in human chondrosarcomas. I then continued as a postdoctoral fellow in Dr. Trent’s lab, where I investigated therapeutic targets for advanced chondrosarcoma, specifically assessing whether IDH1 mutations sensitize tumor cells to FDA-approved chemotherapeutics and epigenetic modifiers using a high-throughput drug screening platform.
Currently, I am an Internal Medicine resident at North Alabama Medical Center. Upon completing residency, I plan to pursue a fellowship in Hematology and Oncology, aiming to become a clinician-scientist specializing in sarcoma. I am committed to advancing patient care through both clinical excellence and innovative cancer research.
