I am a research director focusing on the oncogenesis of sarcomas. My research is centered on understanding the chromosomal mechanisms associated with the oncogenesis of pleomorphic sarcomas. After completing my PhD at the Institute Curie in the team of Dr. Aurias and Dr. Delattre, I furthered my research on sarcomas in Professor Coindre's laboratory, where I identified the relationship between the level of tumor genome rearrangement and tumor aggressiveness. As the principal investigator, I have led extensive projects funded notably by INCa, aimed at deeply characterizing the entire tumor genome of LMS and studying the mechanisms of genome tetraploidization and their consequences. Through my position within the French Sarcoma Group, I have participated in the development of tools derived from my research to improve sarcoma diagnosis (searching for specific genomic abnormalities, i.e., MDM2 in DDLPS, CIN in uterine sarcomas) and better evaluate their prognosis (CINSARC signature). Through these projects, I have established various essential collaboration networks, such as the GSF (Groupe Sarcome Français), CONTICANET (European Sarcoma Research Network), and participated with several oral presentations and posters at international conferences (CTOS, FORTRESS, ASCO, AACR). I currently lead the ONCOSARC team, where our research aims to understand the formation and impact of tetraploidization, particularly on the establishment of the telomere elongation mechanism.
