Medical Oncology Fellow
MUHC - McGill University Health Center, Canada
As a physician specializing in oncology, my career has been defined by a dedication to expanding my knowledge and providing the highest standard of patient care. I graduated from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná (PUC-PR) in Curitiba, Brazil, where I built a strong foundation in medical science. My clinical training was further enriched during my internal medicine residency at the Hospital e Maternidade Municipal de São José dos Pinhais, followed by my medical oncology residency at the Hospital Erasto Gaertner. These experiences not only honed my clinical skills but also expanded my perspective on managing complex diseases, particularly in oncology.
In addition to my formal training, I have gained extensive oncology experience by working at leading institutions in Brazil, including the Brazilian Army, Hospital Erasto Gaertner, and Instituto de Oncologia do Paraná. These positions allowed me to apply my knowledge across diverse healthcare settings, working with varied patient populations in both the public and private sectors. This experience has refined my skills and deepened my understanding of oncology, spanning preventive care and advanced treatment strategies.
My passion for oncology was further cultivated during my fellowship in genitourinary tumors and sarcoma at the McGill University Health Centre. There, I had the opportunity to refine my expertise and immerse myself in cutting-edge advancements in cancer treatment. The international exposure broadened my understanding of both the challenges and innovations in the field, which I have since integrated into my clinical practice.
Alongside my clinical work, I am actively involved in research, focusing on sarcoma and genitourinary oncology. I am currently engaged in several research projects in these areas with the aim of publishing and contributing valuable insights to the medical community. I believe that integrating research with clinical practice is vital for advancing patient care and fostering innovation in oncology.
