Miranda Lam, MD, MBA is an Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA. Dr. Lam’s research focuses on how diverse factors—including patient characteristics, physician decision-making, treatment modalities, and national policies—influence the quality and outcomes of cancer care. In the area of sarcoma radiation oncology, her work aims to advance the management of retroperitoneal sarcomas (RPS). She is actively studying approaches to safely hypofractionate radiation for patients with primary or locally recurrent RPS prior to surgery, as well as the potential benefits of hypofractionation and dose escalation for those with unresectable disease. In addition, Dr. Lam is also invovled in imaging-based sarcoma research studies, particularly exploring advanced MRI sequences to improve tumor characterization and treatment planning.
