James R. Anderson, PhD is presently an Adjunct Professor of Biostatistics at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Public Health. He received his PhD in Biostatistics from the University of Washington. He previously held academic positions at the University of Southern California, the Harvard School of Public Health and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, the University of Nebraska Medical Center and the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He has extensive experience in the design, conduct, monitoring, analysis and reporting of cancer clinical trials. During his academic career, he was a member of several NCI-sponsored cooperative groups: Children’s Cancer Group (1997-1980), Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (1980-1981), Cancer and Leukemia, Group B (Group Statistician, 1981-1991), Intergroup Rhabdomyosarcoma Study Group (Group Statistician,1995-2000), Children’s Oncology Group (2000-2014; Group Statistician 2004-2014). He was also a Distinguished Scientist at Merck and Co.
