Christina brings a broad spectrum of knowledge to her role as a Data Management and Research Manager. In her role, she participates in direct patient contact including outreach, medical updates, and educating patients and caregivers of ongoing clinical trials. She also works alongside her team members in analyzing real-time patient data to further advance GIST research.
Prior to joining The Life Raft Group, Christina received her Master’s Degree from Upstate Medical University in Medical Technology and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and Italian from Villanova University. During her master’s program, she completed her thesis work on Pediatric Brain Cancer and conducted a research project analyzing a genetic mutation that may be linked to heterotaxy. Christina has also served in numerous roles in the nonprofit and healthcare areas. She was the Development Director of NOVAdance, a student-run nonprofit organization partnered with the Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation. She organized campus and community-wide events to raise funds for children fighting cancer. She also has direct patient care experience through her role as a Brain Injury Specialist at Collage Rehabilitation Services. She is now currently a first year medical student at SUNY Upstate Medical University and continues to work part-time for the Life Raft Group.
