Medical Student
Meharry Medical College
My name is Mallory Dunphy. I am a third-year medical student at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee, originally from Long Island, New York. I earned my B.S. in Biochemistry from Binghamton University, where I developed a strong foundation in biomedical sciences and research. My goal is to become a surgical oncologist, a path shaped by personal experiences with cancer in my family and deepened through clinical exposure and research. At Meharry, I serve as President of the Oncology Interest Group and as Clinical Care Coordinator for our student-run clinic. My research background includes work on CDK 4/6 inhibitors in peritoneal carcinomatosis, PET imaging of CNS cancers with novel radiotracers, Lower Anterior Rectum Syndrome, and Metaplastic Breast Carcinoma. At the CTOS 2025 meeting, I will be presenting my most recent research on Retroperitoneal Atypical Spindle Cell Pleomorphic Lipomatous Tumors.
