Prof. Xiaohui Niu is Chief Surgeon and Scientist in the Department of Orthopaedic Oncology Surgery at Beijing Jishuitan Hospital, Peking University, and Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at both Tsinghua University School of Medicine and Peking University Health Science Center.
With more than three decades of clinical experience, Prof. Niu is a leading expert in the diagnosis, treatment, and limb‑salvage surgery of bone and soft tissue tumors, including osteosarcoma, spine tumors, pelvic tumors, and bone metastases. Under his leadership, Beijing Jishuitan Hospital has become one of China’s largest and most specialized centers for musculoskeletal oncology.
Prof. Niu has held numerous national and international leadership positions, including President of multiple committees within the Chinese Anti‑Cancer Association and the Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology, and board member of the Asia‑Pacific Musculoskeletal Tumor Society, International Society on Limb Salvage, and Eastern Asian Musculoskeletal Oncology Group.
An active researcher, he has led multiple national and international clinical trials focused on sarcoma and related cancers, and has published extensively in peer‑reviewed journals. He also serves on the editorial boards of several leading medical journals.
Fluent in English and Chinese, Prof. Niu is committed to advancing orthopedic oncology through research, education, and international collaboration, with the goal of establishing one of the world’s foremost orthopedic oncology centers in the Asia‑Pacific region.
