Paula Takacs Foundation Endowed Chair for Sarcoma Research
Atrium Health Levine Cancer Institute
Over the course of my career, I have focused my clinical care and research on bone and soft tissue sarcomas as well as the impact and outcomes of surgery for metastatic tumors with a focus on spinal metastases. Having dedicated a component of my career to education of residents, I also have collaborated with colleagues around the country on important topics in orthopaedic education and training. I currently lead the sarcoma research program at Levine Cancer and was recently named as the inaugural Paula Takacs Foundation Endowed Chair for Sarcoma Research. As leader of the Levine Sarcoma Section and the Sarcoma Disease Group for the combined comprehensive cancer center, investigation and inquiry is at the forefront of my work. I also continue to lead the educational team in Charlotte as the Vice Chair of Education for Orthopaedic Surgery. I was also recently appointed as the Associate Dean for Mentoring and Coaching for the Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
