Medical Student
Northeast Ohio Medical University
Meredith Coil is a second-year medical student at Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED), originally from Marietta, Ohio. She completed her undergraduate studies at Wake Forest University, where she earned a degree in Biology and developed a strong interest in human development, disease processes, and community-focused healthcare.
Her current academic interests lie in pediatrics and oncology, with a particular passion for improving care for underserved and rural populations. She is a participant in NEOMED’s Rural Medicine HEAL Pathway, where she is gaining experience in addressing healthcare disparities in rural communities.
In addition to her coursework, Meredith is an active member of several campus organizations, including the Pediatric Action Club and the American Medical Women's Association. She also volunteers regularly at the NEOMED Student-Run Free Clinic, where she helps provide care to uninsured and underinsured patients in the local community.
She is excited to participate in this symposium to further explore the role of research in shaping pediatric and oncologic care, and to connect with others who share a commitment to advancing equitable, patient-centered medicine.
