Resident
UCF/HCA NF Hospital
Dr. Farigol Hakem Zadeh is an Internal Medicine resident with a strong academic interest in hematology-oncology and translational cancer research. Her work spans a broad range of topics, including leukemia, lymphoma, solid tumors, and CAR-T cell therapies, with a growing focus on sarcoma genomics and cancer predisposition syndromes. Her academic pursuits are driven by a fascination with how molecular and hereditary alterations influence tumor behavior and how these insights can be translated into more precise, compassionate approaches to diagnosis and therapy.
Through her research, Dr. Hakem Zadeh hopes to bridge scientific discovery with the human side of medicine, translating genomic insights into clinical tools that improve early detection, risk assessment, and treatment particularly in rare and understudied cancers where data are limited but patient needs are great. She believes that understanding the genetic foundations of disease not only refines medical science but also deepens empathy for the patient experience behind each diagnosis.
Guided by curiosity, compassion, and a profound respect for her patients, Dr. Hakem Zadeh aspires to a career in academic hematology-oncology that integrates clinical care, mentorship, and research innovation. Her goal is to contribute to building a future in which every patient, regardless of background or rarity of disease, can benefit from the promise of precision medicine and feel seen, supported, and understood in their journey through cancer care.
