Hyojin is a Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Calgary (Cumming School of Medicine), working under the supervision of Dr Sorana Morrissy and collaborating with Dr Michael Monument. Through her PhD training in Cancer Biology, she developed a strong interest in bridging scientific discoveries into clinical applications. Her postdoctoral experience in a hospital setting further deepened her passion to contribute to addressing unmet clinical needs in precision medicine using bioinformatics.
Based on her research interest in cancer immunotherapy and patient stratification, she focuses on understanding the immunobiology of sarcoma patients and distinguishing potential responders to the therapy through integrative multi-omic analyses.
