Specialist in oncological radiotherapy, at the Department of Soft Tissue, Bone and Melanoma Cancers of the Maria Skłodowska-Curie National Institute of Oncology in Warsaw (KNTMKiCz). Physician and researcher. Has ten years of experience in the clinical treatment of patients with melanoma, and soft tissue and bone sarcoma. Involved in several clinical trials of melanoma and sarcoma patients. Her entire professional clinical career is associated with the KNTMKiCz which is the reference center for the whole of Poland country, and over 600 patients with melanoma diagnosis are treated there annually. As a Medical Doctor and Engineer, connects clinical medicine with deep molecular technologies, mostly liquid biopsy and Next-Generation Sequencing in aim to search for possibilities of predictive biomarkers in patients’ follow-up and possibility of personalised treatment. Publishes research results in international scientific journals and gives lectures on melanoma, and new technologies in medicine.
Her diagnostic, therapeutic and scientific activities (including clinical trials) focus on groups of patients: skin melanomas and soft tissue sarcomas, including the use of new technologies and new possibilities of molecular biology and genetics in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with melanoma, with the aim of a more personalised approach and improved treatment outcomes.
Author and co-author of over 35 original scientific papers published in foreign journals (Impact Factor over 166, citation index above 700, H-index 12 (Scopus), author and co-author of over 10 international meeting-abstracts and co-author of chapters in several textbooks.
