Dr Gausihi Sivarajah is a General Surgeon working in Hobart, Tasmania, where she holds a public appointment as a Staff Specialist at the Royal Hobart Hospital. Her specialty interests are in Oncoplastic & Reconstructive Breast, Endocrine, Skin and Soft Tissue Oncology surgery.
She graduated from Monash University in 2008 and worked at St. Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne and University Hospital Geelong to obtain her General Surgery Fellowship (FRACS) in 2017 through the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Following this, she spent two years in Queensland, Australia, undertaking Breast and Endocrine Surgical Fellowships and did a two-year fellowship at The Royal Marsden Hospital, UK, in Skin and Soft Tissue Surgical Oncology. During her years of fellowship, she has completed a Master of Surgery (Breast Surgery) at the University of Sydney, a Master of Science in Public Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and a Master of Education (Surgical Education) through Imperial College London.
In keeping with her interests in Global Surgery, Surgical Education and Public Health; she has been involved in teaching medical student, junior doctors and general surgical trainees in Australia, Fiji and Timor-Leste.
