St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
I am an early career surgeon-scientist at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital with expertise in the surgical treatment of children with solid tumors. Clinically, I participate in the breadth of surgical treatment of children with cancer, and have specific expertise in limb salvage procedures for patients with extremity sarcomas, including osteosarcoma, Ewing sarcoma, rhabdomyosarcoma, and non-rhabdomyomatous soft tissue sarcomas. My translational research focuses on the improvement of CAR T cell therapies for solid tumors in the primary and metastatic settings. Specifically, my research program has three arms: 1) enhancement of chemokine-mediated homing of CAR T cells, 2) assessment of mechanisms of CAR T cell failure in the metastatic setting, and 3) mprovement of orthotopic and immunocompetent modeling of pediatric solid tumors through surgical and humanization applications.
