Dr. Mariella SPALATO CERUSO, originally from the province of Salerno, Italy, is a medical oncologist at the University Hospital of Bordeaux.
She is part of the Sarcomas and Early Phase Clinical Trials Unit, where she contributes to the management of patients with rare sarcomas and the development of innovative therapeutic approaches. She also serves as Head of the Oncology Day Hospital, overseeing patient care and multidisciplinary coordination.
With a medical degree from the Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome, Dr. SPALATO CERUSO completed a specialization in Medical Oncology, a Master’s degree in Cellular and Molecular Genetics, and a Ph.D. in Cellular Biology and Pathophysiology.
Her research interests focus on translational oncology and clinical development in sarcoma therapy. She collaborates closely with the SarcoTarget Research Laboratory, contributing to early-phase clinical studies and the identification of novel therapeutic targets.
Beyond her clinical and academic roles, Dr. SPALATO CERUSO is Honorary President of the Odyssée Santé Association, dedicated to improving patient support, awareness, and education in oncology.
