Natalie Goulett, MPH, is a Biological Scientist IV – Epidemiologist at the Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade County specializing in injury epidemiology. She earned her Master of Public Health in Biostatistics from Florida International University (FIU). During her graduate studies, Natalie has researched public health issues such as the association between heavy metal exposure and Parkinson’s disease and the representation of minority groups in U.S. skin cancer clinical trials. For her MPH practicum project, Natalie assisted Dr. Rose with the development and testing of his R package, REDCapSync, and later used it along with her own Shiny app to investigate the determinants of recurrence of Leiomyosarcoma. She is passionate about the effective communication of vital information to her community.
